Vivatek NiCad Batteries

Vivatek Nickel Cadmium pocket plate batteries are designed for applications where performance, safety, security and reliability as key factors. Our service offerings are Battery selection, Design, Installation, Commissioning and Servicing.

Vivatek Batteries confirms to Indian and International specification namely IS 10918 and IEC 606023.

KPH - Up to 30 mins - High rate

KPM - 30 mins to 2 hours - Medium rate

KPL - 2 hours to 10 hours - Low rate

Vivatek Batteries are available in High, Medium and Low Discharge ranges (KPH, KPM and KPL) having wide capacity range & hence suitable for many applications.

Charging

Pocket plate batteries are changed either using constant voltage with current limiting mode or constant current mode.

Rated capacity is the available ampere hour capacity +/- 5% at 5 hour rate of discharge to an end voltage 1.0 V/Cell. At temperature of 25 +/- 5 degrees.

Internal Resistance of the Cell

  • KPL : 0.25x1/C5 ohms
  • KPM : 0.15x1/C5 ohms
  • KPH : 0.07x 1/C5 ohms

Maximum short circuit current

  • KPL : 10 x C5 Amps
  • KPM : 15 x C5 Amps
  • KPH : 23 x C5 Amps

Cell construction

Cell Design

The dimensions of all availabe cell types are listed in the tables. In single cell there are different cell widths, each of which comes in different heights. The block cells length is determined by the number of blocks in the cells. All the tabulated dimensions are maximum values.

Please note:

For series connection of blocks on racks, always use blocks with an even number of cells. This gives short, straight interblock connectors. When a block with odd number of cells is necessary, it should be placed at the end of a cell row.

Battery Rack

For Safe, reliable operation, batteries should be mounted on suitable racks. VIVATEK battery racks are made out of anti alkali, powder coated steel sections. The battery racks are suitably supported by strong nylon bushes with good insulation property. Battery racks are available in multi step one tier or
Multi step two tier configuration. The stands are custom made according to the cell and room dimension. Standard battery racks are supplied in knocked down condition and can be easily
assembled at site.
